The success of Dicksons - National Distribution (VIC) has always rested with its people. Experience and dedication are characteristics common to all Dicksons employees, whether they’ve been with the Company for 4 months or 40 years.

Richard Lloyd - Managing Director

Richard started at Dicksons in January 1988 as Company Secretary. He brought his previous management experience with him, and was appointed Managing Director of Dicksons in October 1991. In keeping with the family tradition, his expertise sees Richard highly regarded within the industry. He is also a Director of the National Confectionery Wholesalers Ltd (NCW), and a Director of The Lighthouse Foundation, which is a not-for-profit charitable organization, that provides long term accommodation for homeless youth. Richard has always embraced positive change, and sees rationalization as a great way to enhance client value. He’s been instrumental in the adoption of new technology by the business, and is continually working to improve supply chain methodologies.

Andrew Lloyd - Executive Director

Joining his brother on the Board of Directors in May 1995, Andrew is the Company’s Executive Director. Andrew has 10 years’ experience as a retail pharmacist, and he has completed a Masters degree in Business Enterprise & Innovation. His academic knowledge is the perfect complement to his industry experience, making Andrew the obvious choice for handling Dicksons’ new business development. He consults to new and existing suppliers, servicing companies who have no previous experience with the route trade, or who seek continuing advice. Andrew is also Managing Director of Dicksons - Statewide Distribution Pty Ltd which holds a milk distribution franchise with Parmalat Australia Ltd. Statewide operates 3 milk distribution centres in Victoria - located at Tullamarine, Ballarat & Shepparton.

Tony Wing - Sales, Marketing and Merchandising Manager

Tony joined Dicksons - National Distribution as the Sales and Marketing Manager in March 1991. He’s spent over 35 years working at all levels of industry, including manufacturing, wholesaling, and retailing, and brings a wealth of knowledge to his work. Since 1995, he’s specialized in account and category management for corporate clients nation-wide. With his broad expertise, Tony has developed a reputation for providing sound and honest advice.

So it’s not surprising that our Suppliers and Retailers place a high value on his opinions.

Lyn Matthews - Office Manager

Employed for Dicksons for over 40 years, Lyn has worked for three generations of the Lloyd family. She’s seen the company move from the totally manual processing of old, to the fully integrated e-commerce facilities it boasts today. After 4 decades with Dicksons, Lyn has gained a deep understanding of the Company and its business. Her experience in the areas of administration, credit management, and debt control is invaluable.
